What is a text segment?

A text segment is a batch of characters that a phone carrier uses to measure text messages. Typically a text segment is 160 characters, and can be as low as 70 characters when emojis are used.

How am I charged when free usage credits are consumed?

Some plans include free usage credits per month. Credits are used towards messaging, A2P fees, and AI usage. If those credits are exceeded based on usage charges above, the payment on file will be charged. For example: If a plan includes $10 in free usage credits and 1000 text segments are sent (1000 x $0.0119 = $11.90), $1.90 will be charged, at month's end, to the payment on file.
